Zoom or Similar For Stage Piano?

Post by lamefingers » 14 Apr 2018, 15:01

Hey you keys people. I know you live amongst us. I need your help if I may? I'm chasing primarily a looper for a daughters' electric piano so I thought mabee a Zoom B3 or G3 sort of thing and knock most of her future effects wantery on the head at once? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have no clue at all in this department. Not even sure if this thread should be here or somewhere else? Thanks so much.

Not sure exactly what your daughter needs, but the B3 only loops for 40 seconds. I could imagine that being a pretty major limitation for a lot of uses. I have a B3 and a couple of other loopers, and the B3 would be my last choice in loopers. Of course it does a pile of other stuff which might be handy :)

Hey thanks Mike. I wasn't aware of it's limitations as a looper. I was sort of hoping by the love they get on line they may have been the magic bullet.
Anything else out there that springs to mind?

Digitech Trio+

Not big on effects but pretty cool on the band simulator part. I know it's not what you've asked for but I'd thought to bring it up in case you might be interested. This video is a little long but explains its features very well.

That's true. The multi-effects are interesting but something like a ditto looper is a solid workaday looping pedal. If you want something a little more interface friendly, getting a boss looping pedal where you can attach dedicated external pedals might be more appealing.

What a box of tricks the Trio+ is. I'll have a bit of a look at some Boss gear. I may even give BazBass a shout for his Ditto. They seem idiot proof enough for even me to use.
