"Akai" as in "Akai Unibass UB1"?

If so I do have one. PM me if you're interested. Tks.

Good guess for sure. I don't know my synthesizers as well as I could!

The FI is worth every penny.

I’d second that - and I’d recommend going a FI over and Akai. Half the price, and the FI does what the Akai does in the first 10 settings. The other 89 settings are synth gravy!

Yes it can (can’t remember the setting number sorry), but it’s very easy to edit all the parameters and they cover a wide range. If you get into the software, it’s next level again - you can edit everything.

Nice to know :), scooper1 the cheapest I can find is in reverb.
Can’t afford it atm cause I’ll be buying a Shure GLX-D16 soon, oh well, another one to save for.

Funny story for me.... When I was reading threads here and TB, this FI keep coming up from time to time. i said what the heck is this FI, so I snoop around and then I saw what it looks like, seriously, I thought it was a joke because for me it looks like a kids toy! Then I snoop a bit more LOL, nearly 700 kahunas worth, oh dear, when will this GAS ever end!

It does - very 80’s in design, but it sounds amazing.

It plays nicely with bass, active or passive. I have just got my fretless back in action so I am keen to see what the FI does with that. Expecting some greatness.

Most of the time I am not running bass through it, I am using a MIDI keyboard or using it for arps and sequences. I could have achieved the same in software for less, but that's not the path I wanted.
