I know, it's 4 years old but the EBS rig was briefly discussed during the recent Sydney GTG. Here it is, still with the Yammy power amp (was replaced by a Peavey not long after) played at Musicland with "Slingshot", the funnest heavy fusion three piece you can imagine.

Seems to me you might have 2 problems... the second being called, "denial".

Mid-way through my first gig with this Bergantino Reference 210 cab:

I really dig it. Very even frequency response from lows to highs. The first set was on upright and I was very, very pleased with how that sounded.

Awesome cab for lower volume gigs. The question now is - do I replace my Genz Benz 212 with another Ref210 for louder gigs... :hmm

Maybe add a Ref112? I've heard that's a great combo.

That'll work!

Great cabs those Bergs if your back will let you lug them around. I ran mine with a TTE500 once and it worked well for that.

How does it sound with the more modern sounding amp?

Because every deserves to have choices :D

The nv412 with the momark just kills, the lows are so tight, and the cab is actually brighter than I expected having no horn.

So this will probably be updated again next week as I'm waiting on a tte500 and an ibanez musician

I spent 2 hours at Bass Gear Direct trying a number of 210 and 112 cabs, including the Ref112. I think I'd rather stump up the extra ~$200 for a 2nd Ref210 cab rather than a Ref112 cab. As good as the 112 is it doesn't quite cover the frequency spectrum like the 210 does :yep

Hi, Did you compare the Ref210 to HG310?

I've been using the HG310 for a while now, great for upright and soo light!! Still working on the right combo for elec gigs with it. I loved the HS210 for doubling gigs but for some reason sold it..... Was ok lug on a trolley but def not a one handed lug with double bass in the other hand..

^ Yeah I did play through the HG310 and did like it alot but the Ref210 was still the standout for me. Having said that, I didn't take my upright to try out through the cabs as 99% of my gigs are on bass guitar.

I really like the ceramic Berg cabs too, they have a heft and weight to the notes the sounds and feels great. Might need to try the HD or REF cabs one day :-)

I love this great little amp. It really is very loud and punchy with lots of different tone considerations. Comes with 3 preset buttons Bright, Contour and Vintage which really give you a choice of tonal choices. The Fender Rumble 500 Combo Amp is loaded with 2x10" Eminence speakers plus an internal horn which can be turned off if wanted. It is quite punchy on its own for smaller gigs but I bought the extension 115 cab with a 15" Eminence speaker and added horn in it. The horn in the cab can be turned off or just rolled back -6db for less bite. Amp puts out 350watts@8ohms without the extra cab..with it as an extension speaker cab (8ohm) the amp puts out the full 500watts@4ohms and is very clear and loud. Big enough for large gigs easily. Sorry about the poor quality pics. I've owned quite a few amps and cabs over the past 50 years but this little beauty beats many of them for power, clarity and weight advantage. Both units weigh less than 40 pounds each (16kg for the Amp and 17.6kg for the cab).
