I really shouldn't have started investigating this preamp. Wow.
I was chatting recently with a flautist (flutist?) and accordionist about quality gear. The accordion player had just returned from Italy where he had purchased a $3000+ instrument (yeah yeah, I know, insert accordion jokes here
)The flautist was about to order a $2500 alto flute. The consensus was that quality instruments are worth the price: you want to sound THAT good? Then spend the big money and practice like buggery. In the jazz world, tone rules and (as in the classical world) it is assumed you'll be playing a quality instrument once you reach certain levels of proficiency.
Yeah, I think I'm trying to talk myself into buying a Noble preamp.
