NBD 1971 Fender Precision

Post by Rocksolid » 01 Mar 2018, 14:27

Well, after looking at this thing on for sale forums for 6 months, I purchased my birth year Fender precision 1971.
I can only imagine the stories this bass would tell if it could talk. It's been played and played by the look of it.

It has an A profile neck on it, so a jazz width nut. I think they started offering neck options in 1969.

Yeah always hard to know what is the right price really. You know your P basses Mark, so it's good to hear you say that.

That's a lovely bass. You've inspired me to keep a further eye out for a 70's precision.

It does! It's strange though, there isn't a stupid amount of difference from my other P basses, yet my others sounds quite modern in comparison. Hard to describe.
