George, I've been following this on TB but nothing has been finalised as far as the dealers outside of Japan is concerned. Once Roger announces the official release we'll definitely be getting some in.

I really don't get what the deal is with sadowskys, They keep creating new lines of products and it is really confusing. You now have NY, Satin, Metro and this new japan produced in a factory?

In the end, they are all parts basses from the same suppliers (I would guess). What difference does it make if they are put together in New York, Tokyo or in a factory somewhere in Japan?
Could you please send me some detailed pics?

I'm not really sure where the beef is with this, yes they're factory assembled, yes they're jazz basses, and yes there will be people looking to buy them who can't afford a custom build (both in terms of buying/resale)

I think these are going to be production basses on a larger scale at a lower price point. I guess that means different manufacturing process and perhaps different materials too

One could mount a fairly tenable argument that what I'm building at the moment is in fact just a very complicated fretless J. :hmm
