NBD: '91 Warwick Streamer Stage 1

Post by Razor » 01 Oct 2017, 18:10

This arrived last week.
1991 Warwick Streamer Stage 1.
All original however the frets are questionable. They are normally bell bronze frets but it doesn't look like it's been refretted.
It has a lot of wear but plays like butter. I was thinking of cleaning up the body but I'd probably mess it up. Doesn't bother me so I'll just leave it.

Very nice! You should get some Warwick wax anyway, and I watched something about how to polish those marks out, they're usually in the coating so you can buff them out. Same with dirty stingray necks which are also maple finished with wax.

Nice find though! I bet it feels and sounds killer.

Shame about the coloration but I bet it sounds mighty. Like the clean fretboard too (not a fan of dots/blocks/whatever).

Enjoy!!

Yeah, I thought about using the wax. Might give it a go.

If it's anything like the stuff MusicMan use, it's quite an easy job to clean and re-oil it.
