Pickups wired in parallel, no tone knob (wired in dimed) and a master volume instead

White one is brand new but black one is nearly 15 years old, so threw in some new OEM fender pots while it was apart.

Zombie thread.

Couple of shots from last night's recording session laying down some tracks (fairly simple - all I'm good for these days) for a friend.
Kermit came out of the bag but didn't get played on any of the 6 tracks. The Manta is just too nice for a number of reasons:
the 6-string neck on Kermit is comfy but A LOT wider than the Manta neck;
the Manta provided the right sound in this context - Kermit is a little too prog (which hasn't stopped me from playing blues with it but live is different).

Super versatile, from "I'm eating that Stingray for dinner" aggression to near-fretless swell with the treble rolled off and played over the fretboard. Love it.

Hey maxgroover..I changed the cartoon avatar of me cause somehow I logged on today and the original one had disappeared somewhere..anyway my giggling UK graphics designer wife made me a new one..lolll I now know why she was giggling. There is a really large one somewhere on here where my basses are pictured loll
