OK, The TTC has arrived in Melbourne. I'll have a bit of a play, and pass the goodness along.

This is a good thing, I have had some fun with the Cave TTC. Does what it says on the box, a limiter with a bit of grind built in. I'll contact SCB next week to make some travel arrangements.
I will concur with earlier testers about the slight knock-off of high frequencies, but I would think the target market are more low-end focused, rather than full range hi-fi sounding bass fans.
Heath, would this pedal work any differently with the more mV in an FX loop on an amp, rather than inline at instrument level? Just curious, considering the tinkering going on with the Cave Monster Pickup thread?

Hi Pete,

With the higher output of the Cave Monster pickup, Dave (aka Bobbybdazzler) noticed a bigger compressor effect, so I'd guess that your idea should work well. I usually put all the final designs through the effects loop, just to compare, but I can't remember the test results off hand, sorry.

Cheers
Heath

Hi Pete,

Yes, a TTC with a Speaker Saver circuit is very possible.

Knobs should be available from Jaycar, Radio Shack, Tandy etc.

Cheers
Heath

OK, I received a reply from Pete - he sent the pedal to StoneColdBass in September. Any update?

Hi Guys,

Sorry, this tour has now been cancelled. For all those involved, thankyou.

The TTC has found a new home with Dave (aka BobbyBDazzler). From his experience with the Cave Monster pickup, with on-board TTC, Dave has found the unit to be a useful recording tool.

Thanks Mark, as always, for all your hard work.

Cheers
Heath
