A rare gig for me these days, my first since March. I'm being Ray Manzarek's left hand and Bill Wyman in the same night, in the auditorium at Club Menai in Sydney's South.

I've got all the bass player's essentials.

Hat

Gawdy hawaiian shirt :D
Clearly a blues band. I bet another band member will be wearing a suit jacket, another a waistcoat over a t shirt, and another will be wearing shorts and thongs.

In an unusually busy (for me these days) August where I have 2 gigs, I'll be the white Darryl Jones tomorrow night at the Gymea Hotel in Sydney's southern suburbs, with Rolling Stoned. 8.30 until late. We've added a couple of songs to the set list for the first time just for the heck of it.

Rolling Stoned | The Volts | Doors Alive | Bonza | The Vinyl Beats

Basses: Nash, Fender, Ampeg, Cataldo, Duesenberg, Greco, Ibanez
Rig: Fender, Ampeg, PJB

Endorsing artist: Fender; Cave Passive Pedals

Good way to start spring (I think).

Expect the unexpected with Glenn on the drums, it won't just be blues. I'll have the full Genzler rig plus 4 self-built basses (Kermit The Original, Kermit Gaia, the Manta prototype and of course the new and improved Q).

Regards,
Michael

- Genzler Magellan 800, 2 Genzler BA12-3
- EBS OctaBass, Boss MS-3, Line6 G50

Not a gig, but a new track. My band are about to release our first single, please give it a listen and let me know what you think if you have a minute: www.soundcloud.com/russiamusicx/aria/s-pFgvm
And you know what, while I'm here if you know a trumpet player send them my way!

If any Adelaide members are going to the Semaphore Music Festival this weekend, I'm playing outside Mr V's Music Shop 115 Semaphore Rd at noon Sunday, yeah I know, classy gig but hey,in our CV it will be listed as an outdoor music festival, no need to elaborate further.

As a special treat, Rocksolid might whizz past in his big red fire engine !
