Thompson Twin Michael White guitars stolen from Perth home

Post by harmonyriver » 03 Sep 2014, 19:14

Hi Guys and Gals,
just heard this on Perth radio 6PR today -
Michael White, author and also from the famous UK pop group Thompson Twins, and now living in Perth since 2002, had his Dalkeith house broken into last week - the thief stole  two of his beloved guitars a 1967 Gibson 335 (cherry red) and a 1980s Gibson 175 (tobacco sunburst).
Technically not bass-related, but I am a big fan of the Thompson Twins and their notable simple but tasty bassline in the hit 'Hold Me Now'.
He is not interested in getting the thief prosecuted and just want the guitars back due to sentimental reasons, no questions asked - this is what he said on radio.
Anyone with info or if you see similar guitars on sale Ebay or Gumtree, or Cash Converters, please call 6PR tel: (08) 92211 882 directly or Perth Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000
