Is there a website to check whether a fender bass is genuine and also not stolen? :shrug:

Nope - not really. If you post pics here or on Talkbass people will chime in. There are a lot of wise folk out there.

Generally speaking - people don't usually bother replicating a cheap Mexi or MIJ Fender. Not worth the hassle. If it's a vintage model there are things to look out for which are era specific. eg. logo style, finish, colour, correct hardware etc...
