Fake Fender on Gumtree?

Post by Sp00ge0nBass » 10 Apr 2013, 01:03

Well I know quite a few members I have spoken to are avid gumtree and eBay users as well, I saw this and can't help but feel like it's dodgy.
It has a squire backing plate but the bloke it's calling it a fender, when you look at the headstock you can clearly see the logo has been painted over, I think there's a fake afoot.

Here's the ad : http://www.gumtree.com.au/c-ViewAd?AdId=1017359694

Provided pics Incase the ad gets taken down.

Dodgy headstock paint, you'll notice some letters/numbers are slightly thinner/thicker than others : Image

Haha. If they are genuine about passing a "crafted in Indonesia" Squier as a Fender, this is one of the worst attempts I've seen.
