Get a Joyo American Sound for $40. Try it out. You’ll be surprised. If not, you’ll be able to sell it for little to no loss.

A bit dear but I heard Eden Glowplug gives you a warm tubey dirt. I'll be having a DHA VT1 soon, again a warm tubey dirt (both got toobs btw, duh ;)) but even dearer. Depends on your budget and taste I guess.

How about a Vulcan XL OD, Ben has one for sale in the classifieds.
Going for a great price too. There was a Dark Driving but it has been withdrawn.

Also my Alien Bass Station's Amp Generator section is based on a B15, in the classifies as well.

Hey DanMan,

How does that go without a blend? Also, do you mean you have a 240v wall-wart or is it hardwired with 240v with no 9/12v input?

Cheers

Hey Stef,

It's good - just not the sound I'm after.

The pedal itself runs natively off a 240v socket, to provide enough power for the actual tube in it. No 9/12v option.

The drive knob acts as a pseudo-blend - the more you dial in, the warmer the sound. It doesn't go full bore distortion type drive, just a nice tubey type breakup.
