Keeping the VT Bass 500.

Make an offer on the cabs. Looking to sell. They are both very light transparent sounding cabs and in very good condition.

Cheers
Brad

Hi Brad, can you give me any feedback on the difference between the two cabs, I played through 104HF last night and was real impressed with the sound and stunned at the weight. Is their much difference weight wise and soundwise between the two? If you were to just use one which one would you choose?
Regards,
Jim.

Hi Jim

Sorry for the slow reply.

The 104HF sounds a little more consistently full in the low range to me. The 104HR still has plenty of low end but seems to be more affected by where it is in the room. I prefer the HF with my Markbass TTE 800 head, which is more low mids full than really rumble on the bass, but I like the HR with my Orange AD200. The AD200 gets plenty of low end, especially with a bit of outboard EQ so the HR seems to give it better definition. I also prefer the HR with slap. That's just my take on it though. Others may have different experiences.

As for weight, both cabs are very easy to carry and are similar weight. The HF is a bit taller which may be a bit harder to fit in a small car but it hasn't been a problem in the canopy of the ute.

Cheers
Brad
