I had a very clean USA L2500 in green burst with case. couldn't give it away. Sold it eventually for $800. Very nice bass but I found the string spacing a bit narrow. I would be happy to give one another try though. high quality stuff.
I hope I can find a usa one for 800 :(

Not sure if this is a good deal or not but just spotted this at Cashies in Northcote.

EDIT:
Also just realised you said L-2000 and not M-2000. 8|
Hahah, and that's almost brand new price with free shipping.

I think they are new at Jack's Music in Newcastle (Lambton) for between about $950 and $1,050 depending on the finish.
Exactly, that is after G&L raised their price and including shipping.
I just wanna buy a used one to try it out for a longer period of time, then aiming for a USA one or a new one with custom options.

If any come up in the blue or cherry burst with a maple board, I may end up having to fight you for it..

Ah! devil. I am not picky at this stage, but I also prefer maple boards.

Trib's ain't a lick on the real ones.
Materials, fit & finish, neck options, 5 % tolerant components on preamp's vs 1% on USA's, make them worlds apart.
Save a few bob for bit and get a real one.

I honestly have no idea... it's USA made, 90s era (I'm fairly sure), and in pretty decent condition for its age.

I'll do some research and let you know.
