I think you're going to struggle to find one locally - my understanding is that the stealth Stingray was a limited edition produced to be sold only via EBMM's European distributor. I doubt you'll find one anywhere on the planet for the price of the one on eBay in the US. Looks like eBay is offering a 5% discount at the moment as well.

Oh ok fair enough, didnt realise they were a limited release..kinda makes sense now though hehe.
Ive noticed there's a single humbucker version at the bass centre in melbourne, but for 3,500$

Thanks for the heads up, just a bit worried about import tax and shipping from U.S etc.

I wouldn't be scared of buying from overseas if the seller has good feedback etc. I used to buy basses from the US without problem years ago. I reckon by the time you put the GST and the customs clearance on the one above you would be looking at about $2,500 AUD landed.

No import duty, as it's both a solid body electric bass and manufactured in the US. But, yes, you'd be up for GST (10% of the total cost including shipping) and maybe $100 max for customs and inspection fees.

Ebay is offering a 5% discount at checkout using the code PICK5

I think he's talked about abolishing various FTAs, but it is still in place. Regardless of the FTA, solid body electric basses are exempt from duty, no matter where they are made. I was merely pointing out that there are two avenues that result in zero import duty on a bass.

I also think that's your best shot, I was looking for a stealth stingray(because of it's ebnoy fretboard) for a while(at least 2 years), only saw a stealth HH once in used market and I've passed that because I want a HH with SLO neck more.
