WTB (BRIS) Thunderbird, Explorer or V

Post by Lotusboy » 11 Dec 2017, 18:25

Hello all

I'm looking to upgrade from the craptacular eBay bass ive been mucking around on for the past few months. I've got my eye on a thunderbird with a through neck (epiphone classic-pro, burny, etc), preferably with a hardcase, preferably under $550, preferably not black. Could be tempted by a korina explorer, Flying V or something fun. (Or a thunderbird with a bolt on neck if it's cheaper). I don't mind if it's a little dinged up, as long as it's straight and plays ok.

Also happy to pay for interstate shipping

Am I dreaming?

Cheers

You may be lucky. I’ve been watching for a Classic Pro for about that price in Sydney for a while now though... I saw one a year ago for $500 but it was gone when I came back.

I got my TBird Goth for $200, without strings and bridge off. You may/should/could get a bolt on Epi TBird in your price range.

Good luck with the hunt.

Got a Greco TB HH in Brissy, with Gibson hardcase and trus cover. It would be a bit more $$ than your budget though. PM me if you like.

Hi,

You still looking for an Epi Thunderbird?
I am about to put one up on Gumtree but if you are interested, I will hold off and send you some pics, etc.
Its stock standard in the brown stain e.g.:

$200 would make me happy :-)

Cheers.
