^^ Neckplate says 1965 (L series) but haven't check the neck stamp.

refinished LPB last year, still sit like this, no time (or too lazy) to put them back
the middle one, 1965 (by neck plate date) re-decal-ed.
as i remember, all these 3 oldies has only 1 orig PU each, the other one is replaced. One on neck position, the other 2 on bridge position.
all 3, when i hunted them years ago none of them has orig finished, even 1 of them painted by brush, so ugly that's why i give it to luthier to redo the finished

So you are possibly sitting on my birthday bass! LPB 1966 block and bound and you've got it in pieces! If you tell me it's a march build I am going to cry.

basshack: correction, both LPB are 1968 (by the neckplate nos) but stamp on the neck says 1969, and the other stamp is very blurry, hard to read..

That's a relief. I'd have to make you an offer on it and then go find somewhere to live.

Stack knobs were original to early 60s Jazz Basses. It's well documented. There are some reissues around using that format. I had one a few years back. A bit fiddly to use but interesting because of the independent tone control for each pickup.
