Warwick Rusted Finishes

Post by Dominant Music » 28 Sep 2011, 15:11

Some Cool pictures if a new RUSTED finish Warwick have created. Available on all models. We have one of these in the way to AUS that is a Custom Shop order.

Succumb to the lust for rust…
Combining high-tech craftsmanship and passion, the Rusty Finish is a typical Warwick innovation. A very thin iron coating is applied to the wood of the body and oxidized through a sophisticated and controlled procedure creating actual rust rather than an imitation. Even magnets are able to stick to the surface because of this unique finish. As a special highlight, the pick-ups are coated and parts of the hardware are artificially aged. The result is a fascinating mix of extraordinary looks, stunning acoustical properties, and a unique feeling. Typically Warwick; anything but normal.

Do you need to wax the finish on this one ??
Or is it sealed in some other way ?
I could see it making a horrible mess of a white shirt !

Sure is an interesting concept.

^ That's actually cool. Awesome not to have to worry about the finish :)

I hereby nominate these basses as 'The Best Bass for Heavy Metal' - anybody asks that question, simply point them to this thread :D

I thought this look on a pickguard would look cool but never envisaged a whole body like this.. I suspect the pics don't really do it justice..
