Warwick LWA1000Lightweight 2 channel Class D Bass amp head

The incredible LWA1000 is a Feather-weight to carry, but heavy with low-end tone. This amp uses the latest advances in micro weight technology to offer the fullness in tone loved in traditional bass amps with the weight advantages offered by Class D. It uses a proprietary Class D Module developed over a 2 year period.

Its 2 channel offers bassists a world of Flexibility while still being incredibly simply to navigate. Maximum versatility at the flight of switch when seeking tone options or using 2 basses.

Studio grade compressor on each channel is switchable with an adjustable level. The Compression control simultaneously controls the compression amount and make-up gain.

Separate Input Gain control for each channel
Mute function (separate for each channel)
4-Band equalizer (separate for each channel)

It serves up a real 1000 Watt @ 4 ohms, 500 Watt @ 8 ohms.

Its preamp is all Class A for low noise and pure tone. Best of all it weights just 2.7KG.

Included is a foot-switch for channel switching. Available in Black or Silver. LWA1000 Black from the side. A compact carry bag is available or rackmount ears.

Welcome to the new standard. $1399.00 RRP

This would look so pretty on top of my 610! Bit silly on top of my WA600 already sitting there which is quite loud enough thank you very much but....

Yeah, I'm not sure what I would do with an extra 400W into this cab. It's ear bleeding loud and I'm afraid to drive it harder with the "lets see how loud this can go test".

Maybe we can work out a swap though, take back the WA600 which has seen only a few hours duty on Sundays and discount the LWA1000???

So, has anyone here bought one of these amps and, if so, what do they think of the unit?

I'm interested in any thoughts on the compressor as I am currently using an FMR RNC which is fantastic, so I'm interested in seeing how the inbuilt unit works and would compare to the FMR.

Also, has anyone been hampered or had a problem with the two inputs only being switchable via the footswitch, IE not on the amp? Not that this is a big issue, but it would have been nice to have that on the amp .

I would use one bass with this and use input for finger style, and one for slap, and run it through my Berg CN212 cab.

So, I have one of these coming up from Dominant next week for a test run, I'll have the chance to put it though it's paces over a variety of gigs... I'll chuck up a report and some pics when I get it and as I give it a go!
