New series WCA 410

Post by FunkDragon » 29 Mar 2013, 20:25

Dropped in to Drum Power the other week and took in my Rig & Bass to A/B my Rig with the new Warwick gear.

LOVED the new WCA 410!
What a great sounding Cab. SO much depth of tone.
Beautifully textured balanced sounding Cab.
Big Bottom (Do like a nice Bottom - Haha!) and very 'open' clear articulate Mid's & really nice crisp & clear top end.
Very organic sounding Cab.

The new bullet style horn seems to sound a bit sweeter / warmer than the horn in the older Cab's which could get a little harsh if pushed too much.

It is a bit chunkier & heavier than a lot of the competition, but I do believe we are sacrificing a certain amount of depth of tone when shedding weight with some of these new cab's that are around now.

Of course the real test is within a live band situation, but I'm sure it will sound just as good there too.

I've never been a fan of running just one cab live, but this cab may just change that as I liked this one cab better than my two cab's together.

I'm selling my cab to get a new WCA 410 now.
Will report back when I get it sorted.

Question:
Are you guys bringIng in the 2x10 cab also?

Cheers,
David :)

Hey FUNKDRAGON, yep the WCA cabs are killer ! NO doubt light NEO cabs are great but these have a depth of tone and fatness thats rather awesome. The new horn is warm and musical. All up for under $600 its killer 4x10 cab.

The 2x10 arrives mid year at around $450.00

Nice video demo.
You can hear the tone get deeper as the Cab's get bigger.

I'll be picking up my WCA 410 this Friday - Woo Hoo! :hyper: :partydance:
Looking forward to giving it a run @ Friday nights gig!

Rocked out tonight with my sexy new WCA 410.
Wow! :partydance:
Massive sounding Cab.
For the 1st time EVER, I actually rolled back the Bass frequency of the on-board EQ of my Bass.
This Cab has serious depth of tone.
I've always had a 2 Cab preference, but this Cab sounds brilliant on it's own.
I still miss the height of 2 Cab's but apart from that, it's cool.

Was only a short set tonight - 40 min with lots of singing so I didn't really get to tweak my settings to get my optimum EQ setting, but very, very happy so far!

Is substantially heavier than my Hydrive was......
But sounds substantially better too!

Big thanks to Michael @ Dominant for helping get my Cab to me (through MY Warwick dealer of choice) in time for my gig tonight - very much appreciated!

Hey guys,

I was waiting to check out the LWA1000 , but I've now picked up a TubePath to go with my WCA410.
What an awesome combination!

Used it together for the 1st time with my band @ rehearsal last week.
Sweeeet tone. Beautiful depth /texture.
Very very happy!

Great sounding Cab.
& the TubePath......Wow! :partydance:

Just need to grab myself a Warwick Bass now & I will have a matching set!

Think you need to fill some more of that rack....or go for something smaller ;)

Maybe that Thumb LTD that Bass Centre posted on FB would go nicely.... :)

Yeah Dan, do need smaller rack.
I already had this one, but would like to get a 3 or 4 rack unit.

Would love a Thumb 5 ! :yep
