First two tracks off my new EP. Bass guitar is still the primary sound source, (the drones and "key" pads).

Wow. This is an old one (2011) with me playing the Warwick Thumb through the EBS pre, Yamaha power amp and original EBS Evolution 410.
If only my playing was as good as how this bass and rig sound. Anyway, Glenn's going through his archive digging up some more stuff so stay tuned :) .

Here's Walking By Myself from Australia Day in Townsville.

Singing this one is our old Bass player and it would be remiss of me not to point out to you fine fellows that his mic technique @ 30secs is a treat to watch. Definitely not where he remembers leaving it.

My first gig with the Traynor YBA200 last night and I love it.

Our Harmonica/Uke player Ian is currently going through Chemo & Radio treatment so had our good friend Don fill in on the Les Paul and it made for a great night.

Basses: Sandberg VM5, Fender Geddy Lee J & Fretless P, Warmoth '69 SCP, Squier VM TB.
Amps: Traynor YBA200, Fender TB600, GB STM600

I think this one was actually my dingwall multi scale so i could slide down big fat slides on the b string, bass up fairly high, low highs, kind of lowish mids. driving heavy into my moogerfooger. and clicking the agro pedal for riffing up the neck a bit (which brings out more mid-iness)

And then mixed down low so people don't have to listen to much of the bass player :P

Clips was done by local perth legend and the band's good friend, Johnny Ma!

Glenn recently started to edit some of the tunes we played as Slingshot. "Put Up Or Shut Up" was one of our balladsy-type tunes.
Not unusual for us to not play for a year or so, two rehearsals and then just go and play - shows, not as tight as we would have liked but still tons of fun. Probably one of the last gigs I played the Warwick Thumb live.

There's a whole channel dedicated to the Slingshot tunes. Some are better than others ;)

Regards,
Michael

This is a promo for a new band I am involved in. We basically play funk, soul and jazz tunes (no jazz on this promo). An absolute pleasure playing bass/synth in this outfit, great players and open forum for suggestions and arrangements.

Our new single we released recently. Super happy with how it turned out.
Used my trusty Jazz with Fralins through the very SVT2 rig which Jon from Karnivool used on Sound Awake.
BEAD tuning. Rolled the bridge pickup off about a quarter turn for more of a P/J sound.
Produced by Matt Bartlem at Loose Stones Studios.
Video bt ShotByTyse.

Great tune. Love your tone. That snare though. Holy moly!
Even my wife walked in and asked what was playing.
