Mic stand holder for tablet/ipad - what's a good one?

Post by Aussie Mark » 23 Feb 2018, 14:24

Over the years I've managed to get by with a couple of A4 charts on the floor for most gigs, but shortly I'm doing a fill in where around 75% of the set list are new to me, so I'm going to need a few more sheets of A4 than usual. The other members in this band use iPads on their mic stands for their charts, so I won't feel so out of place if I do the same on this occasion. I've got a couple of tablets that do the job nicely for PDF charts, but I don't own a holder - so, what do you recommended as a solid and reliable mic stand tablet holder? There are a tonne on eBay but I don't know which are flimsy crap and which are decent.

I use this one too. It’s solid, stable and fast to deploy. A little bulky to carry in your bass bag pocket or tablet case.

It’s the only one I’ve had so I can’t make comparisons.

Hi Mark,
I use this one as it fits an up to an iPad Pro. I tried a couple of different ones and this one is the most robust for the money.

Thanks for the offer Vin, but I don't mind buying my own. Hopefully I use it more than once!

I've gone with the Herc, thanks for the suggestion guys. On ebay from Turramurra Music for $49, with free postage.

75% unknown to you? good luck man, i panic if I need a chart for more than a couple of our originals. Memorising 4 sets of originals for 2 different bands is doing my head in, my 3 remaining brain cells are working overtime lol
