I like Antigua as a Fender colour.
There are two late 70 Antigua P Basses on eBay at present- one is ridiculous at over $4K (replacement black pickguard BTW) and this one with the worlds biggest bridge.
I have been watching this one for a while. It has been on for ages at this price. I decided to ask some questions because the listing tells you nothing. There is only one pic. The seller has very little feedback. Several red flags. The bass is obviously not all original and these guys can tend to be pretty heavy even without the addition of extra brass. The bass is not cheap for what it is and it's level of originality and weight would be a factor in deciding whether it was even close to worth buying. At the very least I would be up for a new bridge (vintage about $150) before we look at the need to replace electronics. The broken pickguard would be virtually irreplaceable with an original one .

Can I ask a few questions, please?
Is the case original? Is it included in the sale? Are the pickup and bridge covers still with the bass? Is the original bridge still with the bass? How much does the bass weigh? Are the pickups and other electronics original? Is the neck in good condition ie does the truss rod work? Are the frets worn? Is the neck straight, no warps or twists? Does it setup with a low action? How high is the string off the fret at the 12th fret?
Are you definite about pickup only?
Thanks for your time.
The neck is straight, if you want to get a courier its up to you. the 12th fret is 4mm approx. the bass is as it is. IT'S VERY HEAVY i WOULD HAVE TO GET BACK TO YOU ABOUT THE CORRECT WEIGHT. It comes with the original case.
I thought I would post in case anyone else is thinking about this one.
I suspect you would need to inspect in person to get any real idea of what is actually for sale here.
Happiness is .......a Telebass and 500W.
