After all that umm-ing and ahh-ing? You're a classic, Ivan (pun intended).

All will be just fine ... .

Remember that mistakes take 30 minutes to fix and become design features!

Sorry i couldn't hang around and catch up with you guys today. Would of have liked to see both the new builds and you in the flesh.

Did see a rather nice blue bass coming together though.

Some more progress today on the body.

The final american ash top is now going to look something like this.....I'm definitely liking it:

We're going for alder on the back with some mayo in the middle:

Was great catching up. That design is great you'll have a hell of an instrument when you're done

Looking good, Ivan. Like the veneer layer but personally prefer fries with mayo :) .

Things are moving along slowly but surely.

The body shape has been cut using the band saw, sanded and the neck pocket routed.

The sandwich is looking quite tasty :)

And we're heading in a new direction with the pickups which arrived from Konig Bassworx in Canberra - thanks Tom, and Pete for steering me in Toms direction:

Thanks George. I'm just hoping all goes as planned and I don't make some major stuff up along the way. Just received the 3 band Glock preamp today from George at BGD. So its gone from basic passive setup to full on 3band active.......with passive tone option of course :D

Great choice - very interested to hear how the Delanos play with the Glock. Are you going to leave the blend pot in, or are you thinking of a 3-way swhitch?

Regards,
Michael

I'll probably leave the blend pot as is on this one. A previous bass I owned had the Delano - Glock combination....very nice indeed, but that was with a Delano Xtender pickup. Hopefully it will work just as well here, otherwise it'll be passive mode all the way.
