Re: BMT Build
Some more update pics ...
This Camphor top is looking good - the gloss finish really brought out the flames in the grain.
The neck is now radiused and ready for the shaping and some frets and offset block inlays.

Re: BMT Build
It's almost done. Just waiting on the EMG pickups and the Hipshot Solo bridges to arrive. Getting excited to finally getting this finished.
Brad's had a few guys in the workshop checking things out over the last couple months - and in every case they're immediately drawn to this bass, both neck and body individually. The Camphor top is beyond unbelievable in real life, and even the headstock cap is so incredibly unique in its grain. It's jaw dropping.

Re: BMT Build
Looks great!
I did a little more work on mine, focussing on the necks - routs for truss rod and carbon rods. Got all the hard ware for mine but a fair way to go. Can't wait to see pics of your finished product!!
Regards,
Michael

How will you measure and cut for your fan frets?

It will be a "measure five times, mark off carefully and cut even more carefully" type of day when that's going to happen.
Good thing is that a straight line (i.e fret) is defined by two points so I measure and mark (very carefully) the distances for the lowest and th highest string, everything else will be correct.
Bad thing is I only have to make one mistake and I can chuck the whole thing out. That's why I'll be measuring five times

Michael
