Greetings From New Orleans!

Post by Syncopation » 14 Dec 2016, 06:22

Hi Folks!
Hope it's cool for a non- Aussie to sign up! My friends on Strat Talk and TalkBass recommended this forum.
I'm a semi pro musician here in N.O. I love old school bass, my heroes being players like Chuck Rainy, Jerry Jemmott and of course George Porter Jr. I play a Squire Vintage Vibe Jazz Bass strung with Labella flat wounds, and plug into a vintage '70s acoustic controls 220 head running into 2 2x10 Eden cabs.
Looking forward to chatting with Y'all! :)

Welcome aboard.

You'll find this place much smaller than TB, but it's also much friendlier, and the people are generally very helpful. Hope you enjoy the Aussie vibe.

* Carvin B1500, Epifani PS1000, Ashdown Superfly amps.

I know Cornell, but I don't know John personally, although he used to work on the same paint crew I did when I first moved here. I live just round the corner from the famous Maple Leaf Bar, so I get to see The Absolute Monster Gentlemen allot, as well as George Porter and whatever group he is with at the time. We are a bit spoiled here, must admit.
