Re: Bass neck repair problem - any suggestions?

Piers Crocker did not want to touch it . . he was the first person I called . . . . I completely understand the instability , and the cause was me taking a fall on stage that had me waking in the ER of a hospital . . so thats what started the rot . . but there's good news . . Da Kallaway , the hero ...

Bass neck repair problem - any suggestions?

At the same time, I noticed chages in the bass, which I play A LOT. . . Increased instability with change of seasons an...

this is a similar suggestion,
although these guys suggest the switching is their key.
Apparently no discernable diiference in volume etc between any switching.
John East was co designer on the switching part, and he's no slouch.

Re: Marcus Miller's NEW BASSES - Sire Bass

I have a 5 string v 7 and I agree that the B string is fantastic . . one of the best I heard and definitely worth the price of admission . . . I also really like the passive tone control. . . However, mine does have a bit of "rising tongue" - slight ski jump at the neck join . . but honestly, most i...

Re: FS/FT: 1988 Musicman Stingray (pre EB 2 band EQ)

- "The original 80's musicman necks were 4 bolt and the 70's ones were 4 bolt, so it has been slightly modified. It is currently installed with a 3 bolt neck plate that is not original." I'm presuming a slight typo here . I do know what you mean, but just to clarify, for anyone else . . You did mean...

Re: 2 band MM preamp

I dont know where you got the impression that I had a broken '76 pre . . I have never said anything even remotely like that. yes, there's los of information available now. . . As I said, in 1986 , there was NO information and no basses available, only 2nd hand ones. All I (or anyone, at the time ) k...

Re: 2 band MM preamp

and as far as other ic chips "should be fine" . . well, I dont know anything about electronics,
but my bass had /801 LM 4250CN written on the chip.
If I were to attempt to reproduce that preamp, I would get one of those , they are still available, if you look , but not at Jaycar .

Re: 2 band MM preamp
