Re: Does anyone have a BAER cab in Brisbane I can try?

Deevo has 4 of the 12s for sale in the Maryborough area. Might be worth the drive?

My reading was that he had 2 caps with a combined total of 220uF, but I may have been wrong in my assumption.
Ah, My bad. I read it as two 220uF in parallel. That's 440uF total, and totally useless.

Re: Cricket 2017/2018

Australian cricket died a little bit overnight ashamed the leadership group, big brave men, made Bancroft do it. surrounded by cameras, what were they thinking? Worse was the after game conference where Smiffy threw Bancroft under the bus ,as if it was his idea alone. He has to go, not just as capt...

Re: Question about bracing a vibrating cab

Sorry I'm confused. Pete, does your cab have one or two of those 220uF capacitors. Because if it's two, they're doing absolutely nothing.

Re: Health Goals for 2018

I should put my ex-wife's progress on here. She wasted no time getting to work on her break-up body. Which is ironic because we used to fight because she thought my no-sugar stance was too restrictive - the diet she's on now is MUCH stricter :)

Re: FS: Epifani UL502C inc Footswitch $800 + shipping

Why is this still here? Out of all the D class amps I've played, the Epifani would have to be one of the most natural sounding of them all, and definitely the best one in it's price range. Powerful, clean, and weighs nothing. You could do a lot worse people!

Re: changing preamp?

I've found that with instruments which have "affordable" electronics, you usually get a significant change by replacing either the pickups OR the pre. Case in point, my Ibanez SR805. Looks beautiful, sounded "OK" at best. I struggled for ages as to whether to replace the pickups or pre and when a go...

I was following the England V NZ test - Eng rolled for 58! Only 2 bowlers needed, Boult took 6, Southee took 4, they bowled 10 overs each................

Re: Found a MM Stingray School me please

The one you found is the "standard" Stingray neck. It isn't actually unfinished. It has a coating of gunstock oil and wax. Perhaps this one needs a freshen up (an easy DIY job). The Birdseye maple necks are usually reserved for special instruments, although there is the occasional lucky one out ther...

Re: Question about bracing a vibrating cab

As the old saying goes, if you want something done right do it yourself. And what is"right" for Petebass may not be right for FunkyJase. DIY let's you taylor things to your own specific tastes. Speaking of DIY, why don't you do the bracing yourself FunkyJase? It's basic woodworking, and it's inside...

Re: Question about bracing a vibrating cab

I am a bit surprised there is no bracing or dampening at all in the cab. Sad to say but I'm not. Bracing and damping both add to cost, and where cost cutting is concerned manufacturers do so first on the inside of the cab, where it can't be seen. Another place where corners are often cut is with th...

Re: Health Goals for 2018

I've gained 7kg in one year. If I do that every year for the next 20, I won't last 20.

I did kick Cancer's butt though ..... Perspective!
