Re: Need amp advice please

Take your Markbass head to practice one week and show the MD how gutsy and warm that little guy really is. The VLE knob has oodles of creamy goodness.

If the MD really wants a vintage Ampeg SVT tube tone, team the Markbass with a Sansamp Bass Driver, aka "SVT in a pedal"

I have a front lawn, so I don't need to go and see a solo bass player.

Re: What should I sell it for - Bongo HH

Musicman prices haven't been great on eBay in Australia the past couple of months, unfortunately. Bongos are fantastic basses, but you will likely struggle to break $1600 at the moment, that would be my guess. I sold my rare limited edition Dargie Delight Bongo 4HS (1 of only 5 made) for just $1900 ...

Re: Post Your Rigs

I need to take some updated pics. Current rigs are - Markbass LMII (500w @ 4ohms) SWR Goliath Jr 210 (x2) Acoustic Image Focus 1 (800w @ 4ohms) SWR Henry the 8x8 For small pubs and rehearsal I can easily get by with just one of the 210 cabs. All my SWR cabs are pre-Fender, so they're gooduns. Here's...

Re: D'addario Chromes - opinions wanted!

Have you used them on your single-coil P-bass Mark?? No, Rick. TI Flats generally live on all my Fender-type basses, although I do run Chromes on a Jazz that I use for tuning down, as the higher tension of Chromes is well suited to permanent tuning a half step or step down. I forgot to mention, the...

Re: D'addario Chromes - opinions wanted!

I like them on active Musicman basses - got them on my '83 Ray and my Bongo. Great thump, brighter than most flats, and lovely feel. Tension is higher than TI Flats or La Bellas but lower tension than Fender flats or Rotos. Also ran them on various Thunderbirds I've owned over the years, and they su...

Pinnacle is closer to Flemington or Lidcombe stations than Homebush. Roughly 1km from either. Looking at the map, Flemington would be slightly closer.

Has anybody invited Gav to the forum? He's "RodTrussbroken" from the EBMM forums and the creator of the fabulous Musicman bass website ( http://musicmanbass.org/ ). If not, I'll let him know.

The Chunk Systems Agent 007 Funk is subtle and noise free. Not over the top, but has a nice vibe.
