Re: FS- KSD 5 string bass

Hey just a couple of questions about the KSD. What year is it? I noticed that it had a badass bridge on it on your myspace but I cant see the badass emblem in the pictures you have shown here. Also are the knobs the same on this bass as the one on your my space as they look different. What pickups a...

FS - Marshall JTM30 **NoRes. EBAY**

Time to clear out some amps. 1st on the rank is my beloved Marshall JTM30. Mainly a guitar amp but some people use these as bass amps?? This amp is 14 years old and is still cranking. This was re-valved with Sovteks about 2 years ago. 2 x 5881 and 3 x 12AX7 It has the original celestion heritage spe...

WTB - Bass Amp

High school girl learning bass, I told her I would look out for a medium combo bass amp. Something like a 12" 70 watt thing. Missed out on a Hartke A70 bass amp. Something like that for around $300-500 dollars. Mainly bedroom practice and school practise amp with small halls in mind. Would be good i...

Bass Strings for 6 string bass PRICE DROP

Hello this is a Patrick Brand These are Nickel round wound strings which are light guage. I did not realise that these were nickel and I was putting on the G string on the bass and then saw and heard the difference. As a result one the G string is opened but was not used for more than 2 minutes. The...

Re: Pre amp / npo pre amp

I as well have owned both. Some of my early warwicks were passive but boy did they sounded pretty close to active on my newer Warwicks. I love the basses that have the passive/active option. My Lakland really beefs up when the active is engaged. 3 band eq is definetly more preferable than just bass/...

Re: G&L2500

I think I have discovered that it is only in series mode when the pickups cause more noise that it due to being hotter and the trade off from the extra output of the combined pickups. Wow this was a great exercise in learning about series and parallel. I will now have to make some adjustments if and...

G&L2500

Anyone else play one of these?
DO you find that in a certain switch/pickup configuration that is can be a little noisy?
Cheers

Pickups in Series or parallel?

I use a G&L 2500 guitar and I have had it for 10 years. It has 2 x humbucker pickups. I have just realised one of the switches was to turn the bass from series to parallel.
What does this mean and what does it do?
Cheers
