Looking good!! Have you gigged the REF210 on its own yet?
No, but it does seem to have a lot more low mid thickness to it than the CN210 I had.

Re: NAD - Berg Forte/Ref 322

The amazing thing is the punch and clarity regardless of volume - so musical and consistent. I think you’d be looking at structural damage before you exceeded the limits of it!

Nice one!
Very curious about this little amp. Have you had a chance to give it run with a drummer yet?
Not yet, but from what I’ve heard, I reckon it will cut through brilliantly.

Re: NAD - Berg Forte/Ref 322

Well, I took the plunge and jumped on George’s Berg deal. In short - amazing. Beautiful, highly articulated and punchy tone, with one of the most musical compressors I’ve heard. Extremely happy with it. Big shout out to George for great customer service and products once again! https://i.imgur.com/...

Re: Sandberg Marlowe DK 5 sting?

I’ve played a MarloweDK 5 - your memory is the same as mine - very nice passive jazz bass. The B string was pretty good for a passive jazz. But my view of what a good 5 string felt and sounded like changed pretty dramatically when I played a Dingwall - whole other level, and almostnin it’s own class...

Re: Avid Eleven rack...

I’ve had great results with the Universal Audio Apollo and their Ampeg models - SVT-VR, 3Pro and B-15. I’ve got a SVT-VR, and they’ve nailed the tone recorded.

I was literally listening to FI clips on youtube and counting my coins to buy one while this came and went. Never turn your back on the classifieds... not even for a second!
Definitely worth signing up to the Godlyke mailing list if you’re still looking - they have a 15% off sale every few months
