Re: Kicking Habits!

I've been following this thread for a while - I don't usually admit this but... couple of years ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I did what most aussie males do, I ignored it. I didn't feel any different. About a year ago my doc said I have to start taking meds for it. Cool.. I just eat lik...

Re: iPad as recording, mixing, practice device *Digitech*

Thanks! I just looked up the zoom on the web and it has this "Because playback from the DAW application can be monitored at the B2.1u itself, there are no latency problems during recording. Powering the unit from the computer via the USB bus is also supported." That is what I am looking for. I think...

Re: iPad as recording, mixing, practice device *Digitech*

So back in the day I used to have a small mixer going into my mac. So this allowed me to do all the things mentioned, real time monitoring of my bass (headphones), practice to mp3's, record in garage band etc. So correct me if I am wrong, if I want to do this with an ipad (or any computer for that m...

Re: Just ordered Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 & SL112

Update:
Just played another 1/2 hour.
1) The 2 blue LED's are very bright
2) It sounds flipping amazing! I am happy.
3) Gotta save up for another SL112 - and hope they will still be making them due to neo shortage.

Re: Just ordered Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 & SL112

Got delivered on Saturday. First thing you notice is how flipping light the head and cab is. The delivery driver was carrying the cab box with the amp box and another box on top. The cab box was 28 lbs packaged! I only had about 15 minutes to unpack and play it. It is very deceiving I had a bit of a...

Just ordered Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 & SL112

Just placed an order for this super LIGHT setup. http://aguilaramp.com/products_amplifiers_TH500.htm http://aguilaramp.com/products_cabinets_SL112.htm There are not many reviews on this setup yet, especially the cab but thought what the hell, I'll give it a crack. If its good enough for Gary Willis....

Re: Ernie Ball MusicMan to offer StingRay5 with wide neck op

Heres my take - probably more than what this thread calls for ;) First off - I love Music Man basses - yep I'm a fanboy. The company itself: this has been a family owned company thats been in it for the long hall. Since being owned by Ernie Ball, this is a company that has (mostly) made high quality...
