Re: WTB 5 pot preamp for my bass
My suggestion would be to keep an eye on the Talkbass classifieds. I was looking for the exact same thing recently, and found they pop up fairly regularly over there. They're small enough to send in the mail for not a lot of money. I scored an EMG pre for only $150 shipped. It completely transformed...

Keyboard repairs in Qld
I have a friend who's Nord keyboard is busted. Without it, he is screwed. No gigs, no teaching, nothing. He's distraught, and I'm quite upset to see him so upset.
Who are the people in QLD who could fix this?

Re: Cricket 2017/2018
For all this talk about the new media deal, nothing has been said about what is going to happen with the online streaming? I assume Cricket Australia is going to continue offering it through the app. But in order to broadcast all international games, but wouldn't that involve borrowing the coverage ...

Re: The JMJ has landed - initial verdict
So JMJ isn't the pickup configuration like I first thought. It's just the initials of someone famous looking for another dribble of passive income. I wouldn't have even clicked on this thread if I'd known ..... I'm not surprised it was a disappointment. There's sorts of things usually are.

Re: Tweeter Swap Aguilar DB112
If you do it the right way, there's no reason why I can't be done. First thing you'd need to do is figure out which tweeter Epifani used in whatever cab's you've got. Then you need to figure out if it has the same nominal impedance as the tweeter you want to replace. If it has, we are still in busin...

Recommend a good multi-guitar stand
The ones I get from eBay aren't good enough. The little bit that holds the necks in place are too flimsy. One bump and they snap off.
Needs to hold at least 5 electric basses. What's your recommendation? Or perhaps you are offloading one?

Re: NBD - Mahalo U-Bass
Where did you go looking for them? Do you mean which shops? I bought from Shake it up music in Nambour. I live in Hervey Bay and was driving to the Gold Coast to watch some Commonwealth Games action. So I decided to pop into some music shops on the way ..... Then got lucky at the first place I went.

Re: NBD - Mahalo U-Bass
Great score Pete, bargain. Ideal bass for your needs. Do you like the Thundergut strings? How's the intonation? I have those strings on my Ashbory as well. I like the feel of them, but they don't "cut through" like the original Ashbory strings. The intonation seems good. Having a tuner bu...

NBD - Mahalo U-Bass
Don't worry, I'd never heard of them either, certainly not for their basses. Ok so here's what I wanted:- * Something fretted I could noodle on (or learn new songs on) out the back of my Ice Cream shop when it's quiet and all my other work is up to date. * To replace the Michael Kelly fretless acous...
