Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

I thought Leckie was outstanding, then Aziani came on and WOW, what a player. Those were the two standout Aussies for me. On the Danish side, the whole back field was excellent, as was their keeper, but Sisto ..... he's something else isn't he! Awesome talent, you can't relax when he's anywhere near...

I’m feeling your frustration all the way down here in sunny Melbourne. Back on the phone to the supplier I guess
Yes I've sent them an email detailing the problems encountered and how disappointed I am. We'll see what happens.

Re: Help me fix my window demister!

OK so the anti-fog-foil finally arrived. I got a friend to help install it and after two attempts we gave up and called a professional window tinter. 30+ years experience and he couldn't make this shit work either. Not Happy Jan!

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

Ok as a non-expert in soccer, I have some observations after watching last night's Australia v Denmark game: 1/ Australia can't score goals. I think I saw 1 or 2 shots on target but neither troubled the keeper. 2/ I know Tim Cahill is getting on in age, but he knows where the back of the net is. Why...

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

When does it start ... oh wait .... sorry, it's soccer. The refs always give Australia a raw deal so I've lost interest.

Re: Backline hire Tweed Heads

My old band got back to me. I thought their gig was in early June, but It's not until early July and they will have backline supplied by the club. If your gig is at the Twin Towns club, maybe enquire if they can supply you guys as well? Otherwise, there are two Brisbane based companies that will ser...

Re: Backline hire Tweed Heads

One of my old bands from Sydney just did a gig there. I'll see if I can find out what they did about backline and let you know.

Re: NBD - but it's not a bass!

Well when I was picking the bike up after it's service today, I bumped into someone who owns a shop around the corner from mine. He was trading in a Sportsbike for a Suzuki Boulevard cruiser - 1800cc's. He's pretty sure it won't be as fast as his 1200cc, 2 cylinders Vs 4.

Re: NBD - but it's not a bass!

Cool Pete! That's an insane amount of cc's for a bike! It is but fairly common in the big v twin cruisers these days. Most Japanese cruisers are around that including my Yamaha at 1900cc although Triumph take the cake at 2300cc with the Rocket 3! It's more powerful than Harley's biggest engine, tha...

Re: NBD - but it's not a bass!

glad to read a post of yours where you're not getting screwed over, ripped off or had some other thing go wrong. What, like maybe parking it outside my shop and not engaging the side stand properly. Yep, that actually happened! But at least this time I have no-one to blame but myself. But it shows ...

I'd give my left nut to own one of those...... oops, sorry! :ninja:

Seriously though, enjoy it Pete.... you deserve it.
Nice try, wrong nut :) I thought the bike was pulling right at first, but it turns out I just had to adjust my seating position.

Re: NBD - but it's not a bass!

Doing some research on Victory motorcycles... Their parent company is Polaris Industries, famous producer of snowmobiles... I used to have a 1973 Polaris Charger 630cc 2-stroke snowmobile. It was built like a tank and you couldn't break it... Not much use for snowmobiles here in Australia :D ... bu...

Re: NBD - but it's not a bass!

Nice one Pete. I'll let you know if I'm "two-wheeling" up your way sometime. You're on! Ditto if I'm ever in Brissy. I actually bought it from an ex- Bandito near the Glasshouse Mountains. So it was a 3 hour ride home straight up. Loved it! It's a great feeling cruising at 110km with the engine bar...

Holy molly, look at the size of that rear tire! Cangratulations Pete.
That fat rear tyre helps get all that power down to the ground. That's good. But it also makes it less maneuverable. Not ideal, but manageable :)
