Re: Opinions similar basses to the Stingray 5 body/neck design

You're going to be lying in bed tonight trying to remember everything about that bass. Oops :)

Re: Opinions similar basses to the Stingray 5 body/neck design

Here's one from left field - I actually got some Stingray tones out of a Warwick Double Buck that I once tried in a shop. Mind you this was a long time ago, well before Warwick introduced their newer and slimmer neck profile. There was no way I was going to consider that bass while the only neck opt...

Re: Anyone in/near Katoomba?

FWIW, Katoomba is way out in the sticks. I would have been one of the closer Ozbass members before I moved to Qld, but I still would have had to drive about an hour each way.

Re: Learning to drive manual

We won't be driving cars in ten years time. I've been hearing that since I was 15. I'm now 44 and guess what? :) sticking your head in the sand won't make driverless cars go away. They are not a future nightmare, they are here now. We even have a trial here in Adelaide. I want mine to be fitted out...

Re: FS/FT: Ashbory Fretless bass $250 PICS ADDED

Bump for a great little bass. I actually went and bought my own Ashbory after playing this very bass at a Sydney GTG several years ago. Owen was kind enough to lend it to me for a while. I played some gigs with it and then just HAD to have one.

GLWTS Owen.

Re: Rosewood bans..

Warmoth have released a statement saying they are CITES compliant now, so it's possible others have also jumped through the hoops. Can't hurt to ask.

We could bury you with it. :peep:
There probably wouldn't be anything left to bury, not of me or the bass :) Looks like some lucky person has nabbed it anyway. Good score!

Nice work. I'll bet it weighs more than the SKB, but it'll probably offer better protection too.

Re: Learning to drive manual

. A good exercise is to depress the clutch fully, put the car in first, then slowly lift your clutch foot (left) up while using your right foot to supply some revs (depressing the accelerator). You will probably get it wrong initially and the car will stall or bunny hop but you will find there is a...

Re: Learning to drive manual

Actually I thought the hardest part was learning to take off in first gear without stalling or bunny-hopping. It's all about understanding the clutch.
