Sounds like you might be describing Jaco's version of Donna Lee. Is this it?:

Love the title - in fact, I didn't realise it was your thread Michael until after I'd opened it

The bass looks incredible. That's quite a skill you have there for sure. Also keen to hear this bass in action.

Congrats!!

Never played through an all tube amp either so that would be the other thing. Are you sure - you've been to 3 or 4 GTGs and haven't tried any that have been there? :hellno: The closest I got was trying Blaine's Monique pre... Re: Gear you're dying to try out

For me:

Fodera basses - never played one but curious to see how they feel and sound.

Ampeg rig - SVT on top of an Ampeg 8x10 fridge. Just to see how that sounds and feels on a gig.

Never played through an all tube amp either so that would be the other thing.

Re: I Will Survive in G? I said No.

Got a spare 4 string bass? Tune it down a tone and play the song as normal :)

I think you can get round that song in G without too much adjustment. If I get a chance I'll do a quick recording tonight. I'd have no problem playing it in G if the singer asked.
