Re: [NBD] Lakland 55-94 USA Deluxe

They're a versatile bass for sure. I have a Skyline 5502 which is great - but.... 5502s are missing a passive tone control (don't know if the USA models have it?). Which for me is more important than the 3 band EQ. So recently I had mine converted to passive. I now have Vol/Pickups Blend/Passive Ton...

Re: Probably sold.... Ernie Ball Stingray fretless. $1000 SYD pickup

Hi billybass

It's not a forum rule that the first to reply gets first right to buy. It's up to seller who he/she decides to sell to i.e they choose the fifth person to reply because they live just around the corner.

It's best to use PM to ask the seller what is happening with the sale of this bass.

Re: Double bass, how to get started?

What style of music do you want to use it for? The teacher you choose should depend on the style of music you play. Also, the type of upright you buy and how you set it up will also depend on the type of music you want to play. If you know any upright players who play the style you want to get into,...

Re: Talk to me about Double Bass

Whatever upright you end up purchasing, get it to a luthier straight away for a set up. Play the luthier some tracks of players that you really dig so he or she can get an idea of what tone you like. This will help them to perform the ideal set up for you. Does the guy helping you with inspecting th...

Re: Fender Jazz pickup cover over the bridge??

Is it a 5 string you are playing around with? I have a mechanical mute that I'm not using I can send you. I had it on one of my basses for a project band and then removed it. It's one of these and works pretty well. http://bassmute.com/bassmute/bm_mainframe.html It’s a four string but thanks for th...
