Re: Mesh wifi setups - anyone using one at home?

Since CP's recommendation (eero) isn't available in Australia (and no point importing it either since you need a US phone number to access the app) I've gone with the Velop as there is currently a 25% discount for the 3 unit pack. One advantage of the Velop over the Eero is the fact that the Velop u...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

Seems to be hotting up in Bennelong. The Liberal polling must have Malcolm worried. Lots of phone calls to voters from both sides no doubt. We got 4 in a week here from the LNP when the sitting LNP guy figured he was in trouble. I actually reckon they do more harm than good. I had a live call from ...

Re: Who uses a sealed 410?

I gigged a sealed Markbass CL104 (410) regularly for a couple of years until fairly recently - only sold because I'm not gigging so much and don't need as many cabs. It was far and away the best sounding 410 I've ever owned or played through, and sounded especially sweet with tube heads.

Re: Mesh wifi setups - anyone using one at home?

https://eero.com The Orbi and Velop seem to perform better in terms of range throughput, based on the performance charts in the link I posted. Why do you prefer the Eero? Cause it works beautifully in my farm ... main house (main router) and 3 cabins (beacons) all scattered in a 100 meters radius. ...

Re: Mesh wifi setups - anyone using one at home?

Have you considered a powerline adaptor? Ethernet through the powerpoint. They're meant to be pretty good these days. Yes, I've tried those however when the house has more than one circuit, powerline only works well if both adapters are on the same circuit. In our case, the ADSL point (and hence ou...

Here's a blast from the past - Thunderbird content (Epi bolt on P/J) but the car did match the band name (which were both '65 Mustang)

I like the look and simplicity of Google Wifi, however throughput speed and latency came near the bottom of the list in these performance tests (scroll down to see the graphs) ...

Mesh wifi setups - anyone using one at home?

With the number of connected devices in the house increasing and the kids at the age where they need their own workspaces for homework, wifi coverage in our old full brick home is patchy in parts. I've been using a wifi extender for a couple of years now, which gives us a bit better range, but with ...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

Why do people have a need to mention Eddie Obeid in the same breath as Kenneally? To make this thread less one-eyed? :peep: JA made a lot of money from being a top notch international sportsperson and then a TV commentator - he's entitled to buy the biggest house he likes if he can afford it. One o...
