Not surprising - brand new timber furniture is usually quarantined and fumigated as well, because borers don't have a preference for old timber over new timber.

Re: Case for a Washburn Status Headless

The easiest solution is to measure the bass and compare that with the generic guitar/bass hard cases sold locally on eBay. I've sourced hard cases for a couple of unusually sized/shaped basses that way (Fenderbird, and a Framus hollow body) - there are often comprehensive measurements in the ebay li...

Re: Health Goals for 2017

On that basis it's looking like I've kicked cancer's butt. We need to start a club. Excellent news mate. Any after-effects? Thanks Pete and the others who commented. I'm thankful we got this early and treatment was relatively straightforward for this type of cancer. My only "after effects"...

Re: Health Goals for 2017

I had an appointment with my endocrinologist on Saturday so we could review the PET scans that were done 2 days after I swallowed the nuke on 7 June - the scans show where the radiation from the I-131 capsule settled in my body. On 9 June there was a "very small" area of thyroid tissue rem...

Re: External rechargeable power pack

I'm sure it would be fine - looks very similar to the other brands on the market. I'm very happy with the Sanyo I've had for 3 or 4 years now.

Re: Health Goals for 2017

I'm home now from 3 days of radioactive iodine treatment, which is a mop up for peace of mind after my surgery, so I'm still kicking thyroid cancer's butt. My health goal for the rest of 2017 is to get strong and lean again. Sorry to hear of your thyroid cancer Mark but curious also. I'm currently ...

Mark does it have a shaped top bout where the arm rests? It looks like it does

I can't vouch for that on a L2500, but I can confirm that the L2000's have a curved top bout (at least the two I've owned have had one)

Re: GST Changes For Overseas Online Purchases From July 1 2017

This didn't make it through the Senate in time for a 1 July operative date, so it won't kick off until 1 July 2018. There was too much behind the scenes work required to develop the framework and systems for collecting the GST from the likes of eBay etc, that they ran out of time. Now they have 12 m...

Re: Wireless earbuds

Been a while since I added to this thread, but long story short, my wife and I have been using our IQbuds for several weeks now. They work as advertised, and the audio quality for music streaming is as good as any earbuds I've tried (wired or wireless) - plenty of bass and isolation. The buds fit co...
