Re: WTB: Gibson Les Paul Bass/Triumph/Recording/Professional

I sat down with that one from downtown music for a good long play about three months ago, sweet bass, no alarm bells went off for me on it for any reason and it sounded amazing, played through a class d head and a markbass box. Re: Boney M - Who played bass?

Try searching with one n in Unwinn - he's used both spellings over the years, apparently "At the same time Keith Forsey and Paul Vincent asked me to play bass on a session, and I became a full time session musician. That was the start of success:-We were to become the basic rhythm group for the 70`s...

Re: Brisbane Musicians Wanted - Where?

The "Bass Player Resources" section of the forum is where people post band member related posts. Otherwise, I think most cities have at least one "Musos Wanted" type of Facebook group these days - there is usually a lot of traffic at those groups, so probably a good place to post as well.

What do these guys sound like compared to a P Bass?
The MIJ RI I owned sounded just like a P bass. It was fun to play. Only sold it because I dialed back my Stones tribute participation and didn't really need 6 short scale basses anymore.

Re: Venue ideas for Sydney GTG - Oct 28 or Nov 4th.

Greg just wants us to go to Gosford so he doesn't have to pack all his gear & drive an hour each way. :poke: Gosford is a bit far for so many Sydney folk. Thanks for the invite Greg... another time!! It takes an hour to drive across Sydney on a Saturday (peak hour all day long), so for many people ...

Re: Shipping a cab

The above is all good advice. The other thing I'd add is to cut holes where the handles are, to make it easier (and obvious) for handling so they avoid the tendency to chuck it around because it's just a box.
