Re: Talk to me about Double Bass

No he never said anything like that, but owns a few and has done his own setups, so I'll see what he says.

Cheers

Talk to me about Double Bass

Hi guys, I'm thinking about grabbing a DB. I've decided to challenge myself into learning something new (again) after getting the hang of fretless. Idiot I know... What should I consider before jumping in? Is there really much difference in tone between a full size or 3/4 size DB? Is mono or stereo ...

Re: Cricket 2017/2018

Australian cricket died a little bit overnight ashamed the leadership group, big brave men, made Bancroft do it. surrounded by cameras, what were they thinking? Worse was the after game conference where Smiffy threw Bancroft under the bus ,as if it was his idea alone. He has to go, not just as capt...

how good is Starc?
I rate him waaaay up there with the greats already.
Even if he gets a terminal injury tomorrow, I'd still think he deserves to be up there with the great bowlers of the modern era.
His ability to execute late swing (and the tail) is uncanny.

Re: How common is BEAD?

I ain't cuttin' no nut, ain't nobody got time for that! Amen brother! Hate that! Yeah I've done it to a few basses. I've run BEAD or C-F-A#-D# since the late 90's on at least 1 bass I own, currently 2. I've learned a few things. Filing the nut is only one thing - some basses will require ...

Re: Cricket 2017/2018

Fifty for Bancroft and failure for Khawaja- what do I know? Bancroft won't silence critics unless he makes a habit of it. As for special K, I don't know why he seems so out of sorts. He wasn't the free comfortable K we saw a few seasons ago even during the ashes. The pitch over there isn't much dif...

Re: VW Golf Gti

Yeah I've had my eye on one of these for a while. They're pretty quick! I don't own one - but I used to drive a Renault Clio Cup. Sold it a couple years ago. It's a smaller coupe, not as powerful, but handles unbelievably well - like it's on rails. I used to eat up Porsche's, WRX Sti's, Commodore SS...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

I reckon there's a good chance the only people who really care about the Barnables mess arethe media & Labor-minded folk trying to gun him down.
I doubt anything is going to change once the media gets bored of this.

Re: Your FAVOURITE and LEAST FAVOURITE Aussie Songs ??

Down Under by Men at Work, may as well be a Christmas Carol for me in January, it just grates me. I don't know why, maybe I've just heard it too many times... my old man loved Men at Work. For songs I love? Pickapart - Johnny Butler is always a safe bet with the missus. https://www.youtube.com/watch...
