Re: NBD - My first build - The Galleon

https://www.dropbox.com/s/jl62812mayq4650/VID_20180408_102714513.mp4 Heres a video of me just playing it this morning. Sound is average due to me using a small Yamaha THR amp and recording on my phone, but it gives a rough idea of the sound. I didn't really know what to play. Might put up a proper ...

Re: NBD - My first build - The Galleon

It’s not very nice at all with those “design features”. Now, in a couple of weeks time I’ll be going on a long drive to Melbourne to visit my parents and brothers, I can take it back to Sydney with me :D  :hyper:

Re: Wanted Future impact pedal or Akai

I’d second that - and I’d recommend going a FI over and Akai. Half the price, and the FI does what the Akai does in the first 10 settings. The other 89 settings are synth gravy! Can it do Let’s Groove sound effect? Yes it can (can’t remember the setting number sorry), but it’s very easy to edit all...

The FI is worth every penny.

Must be something in the water up here! It had quite the growth spurt in the last year. Now it's doing my head in trying to figure out what order I should hook it all up

Re: Post your Effects setup! (boards, racks, doowhackeys)

I spent 2017 researching and spending way too much on pedals for this synth bass rig, still with enough dirt to play with my teenage boys  Now that finances have recovered (sort of) 2018 so far has been designing and building this 3 tier road case board to pull it all together. Haven't hooked...

Re: Post your Effects setup! (boards, racks, doowhackeys)

I will be getting a bigger board as I “might” want to add an eq
but I’m happy with the setup atm :) :drinkingbuddies:

Re: Band too loud

Sounds like it started when the new drummer came along, but the guitarist isn’t helping either. In my experience volume trouble starts with the drummer, and if only one person turns up it just exacerbates the problem. Most guitarists turn up if they can’t hear without thinking, to preserve their “t...

Re: Band too loud

turn your amp down at jams so the drummer has to play softly. Our drummer is awesome, he can play so softly you'd think he had brushes or as loud as he needs to be. Last night's gig was a perfect example. We had a set and forget mixer, ie soundcheck then they leave. We set a loud level for when the...

Re: Band too loud

Put the drummer and guitarist in one corner together, you go on the opposite/furthest away from them and wear your earplugs all the time. And if youse are rich put them behind a glass wall :D
