Re: WTB: phil Jones BigHead

I'm with bigswifty. I have an Alto ZMX52 mixer that is the same as the Xenyx. It cost me $59 on special from JB about a year ago. It works well and is flexible. We use it to mix the vocals and (electronic) drums in our 3-piece band practises and I use it at home for silent, playalong practise. I wil...

Re: WTB - Short Scale bass for beginner

When I started learning bass about 3 years ago I bought a "Cort Action Bass Jr" new for AUD 250 (came with wafer-thin gig bag). I bought a set of La Bella DTFs and had the bass set up by Matt Bullus (nearly same price as the bass). Now I have several "better" basses but I still play the ABJ and reco...

Re: Fender Starcaster bass

Actually my mistake I think. I see the blurb says, "Thin semi-hollow offset body with bound maple top and back, and bound f holes". But good question nonetheless.

Thanks for the info, Narcdor.

Re: Fender Starcaster bass

Pardon the hijack but is the Warwick Star Bass related to this? They look much the same and are both named "Star". I own an MIC Star Bass fretless in Daphne Blue that is similar but not the same: Fender scale length is 30", Warwick is 32" Fender pups are humbuckers, Warwick are SC (but are as big as...

"Akai" as in "Akai Unibass UB1"?

If so I do have one. PM me if you're interested. Tks.

^ Because we hold our guys to a higher standard.

Yes, and that cultural ethic explains why so many Japies (including a certain MrChameleon) choose to make Australia their home.

It furthermore explains why we are distraught at any signs of its unravelling.

Re: Show yourself and your bass(es) - Part Two

Sutton Forest Inn last Sunday arvo. A massive crowd of at least 50, only 40 or so of whom were family and friends.

Playing the intro to "Come Closer" by the looks of it. Bass is "The Curto".
