Re: P bass cab/amp setup

Or chuck a VT Bass in front of it, or one of those cab sim pedals. It’s about knocking off the top end and something in the mids I can’t quite put my finger on. VT in front of a Mesa D800 and a pair of Subway 112 sounded like a trad Ampeg fridge so I’d try that first. If you want an amp to do the s...

Re: P bass cab/amp setup

I have the amphones headphones and my p bass sounds phenomenal through them. But not so much so through my LWA1000 amp/ CN112 berg cabs. My amp/cab setup seems to have been made with the stingray in mind, but that is the tone I keep coming back to. But I do have a p bass and was wondering how to ge...

Re: Post your rigs - PART TWO

Eesh. I though it was a db112  I guess I'm just bit too eager for mine to arrive. How does the sl go against the db410? No a DB410 and SL410x (although I also have a pair of DB112s which are great with the TH500). I have yet to test the SL410x at a big gig with the the DB751 but will do in a...

Re: Post your rigs - PART TWO

Is the little brother a 112? How's the volume go keeping up with a band? I tried them in store and was impressed but it's always different on stage next to drums No, the little brother is a SL410x. I previously had a pair of SL112s but found they weren't loud/punchy enough in a band situation parti...

Re: Is this too many amplifiers???

My only question, would be how often do you use some of those amps? If the answer is not very often or not at all then it may be that you are 'hoarding'. If however, it is only with bass amps and not other things in life then perhaps nothing to worry about.

Re: NAD - Berg Forte/Ref 322

Nice one! Very curious about this little amp. Have you had a chance to give it run with a drummer yet? Not yet, but from what I’ve heard, I reckon it will cut through brilliantly. I have a B-Amp HD112/210 set up which is essentially the same thing and play with a very heavy hitting rock drummer and...

Re: NAD

Great little amps if you are after a bit of a 'valve tone' in a small box. I use mine with a variety of Aguilar and Bergantino cabs and always sounds good. Only bring out its big brother the 751 when needs be.

I think the M900 is very much cab dependant.
Funnily enough I have just gone the other way and bought a B-Amp to go with my Berg cabs (and DG pedals) and I think that the speaker 'Profile EQ' section is its killer feature - it really does seem to make a difference.
