Re: NBD 2017 Epiphone Vintage Pro Thunderbird

Great work Russ. First VP in Oz!

So the seller was ok with itemising the cost into bass & delivery rather than all inclusive ?

Re: Amp Suggestions

You could look at the Rumble 200 or 500; or the equivalent GK MB210 (I think)

Re: Rock/musician biographies you liked.

Since Christmas I’ve read the latest Jesse Fink Bonography, Bon: The Last Highway.
I was prepared to not like it as he seemed to be out to push his conclusion into the cause of Bons death.
But in the end I think it is a really good book, I gave it 5 stars on GoodReads :) .

Re: The "What are you READING?" thread

I bought and read the ‘Music Maton Made’ book. Found it very interesting, not being very aware of them in the 60s & 70s, or up till recently I guess.

Re: The "What are you READING?" thread

Naked Lunch - William Burroughs .............. NL isn't really readable in parts, I didn't like it..... I tried 30 odd years ago to read it too slave and thought exactly the same as you. A also tried reading Mein Kampf (Adolph Hitler) one time. I'd heard it mentioned so many times in war documentar...

Re: Future Builds - Maybe Random

The ash and padauk contrast brilliantly. Have you noticed the tinkle sound a piece of padauk makes when you drop it? I believe they make nice marimba keys. Random, but I like the bench top wood! Thanks, Paul, It's a crappy old dining table that's starting to feel the effects of heat, cold, wet and ...

There was a period of time in my life where just about every Australian band I saw live featured a bass player playing either a JB4 or a Stingray
So what happened to them? They just went out of fashion?

Re: Maton JB4 Lives Again! (The Proof Is Here)

(Zombie alert!) So - who knows why the JB4 is currently out of production again? "PLEASE NOTE: This guitar is currently unavailable, stay tuned for exciting developments across the range of Maton electrics." https://maton.com.au/product/jb4 Maybe outsourcing to China? Hi, when I was in a music stor...

Seller : Manbearpig9924
Buyer : me
Item : 2011 Gibson Thunderbird

Really friendly and helpful communication which took some of my anxiety away. I’d never bought anything of this value sight unseen before.

Lachlan was great to deal with and I would be pleased to buy from him again.
