Re: Cole Clark Long Lady 5

I watched that interview - these things seem super cool and very aspirational. I liked the ‘entry level’ Blackwood top the best. I’m sure Neil Kennedy scoffed at string through body at the bridge, yet the ones I’ve seen while googling seem to have the ‘holes’ for string through body. Amused me once ...

As I have not yet paid in full, it would be a bit previous of me to say really.
And fair enough too.
I’ll keep watching for a NBD announcement assuming all proceeds well from here.

Re: Decent selection of strings in Sydney?

Is there any retailer (remaining) in Sydney with a decent selection of strings? I'm partial to Ken Smith Bass Burners but afaik these aren't sold at all in Australia. Usually order several sets at a time via Bass Strings Online but in this instance need a single set for an incoming bass which is st...

Re: Gibson/ Epi Basses

Big music a fair bit cheaper than Haworth earlier in the thread. Those prices are getting back towards the right zone. I saw the Jack Casady on their eBay ad this morning at around 1200 also. Edit: $1129 No batwing but a sloped dovewing. :D The Embassy is cheaper and has a fatter neck for those that...

Re: Health Goals for 2018

I’m off to a compounding chemist tomorrow for some iodine drops. I have to take 3 drops each morning in water or apple juice for 10 days prior to my thyroid op. It is to calm down the left side (with the ever growing nodule) that is running hot. The isthmus and right side are doing bugger all and ar...

Makes my stated goal of three Thunderbirds seem positively modest. Well ... three Thunderbirds, a cheap Steinie rehearsal bass and a franken P.

Five ... no more than five.
Hahaha 3 she said... 5 she said....

And I’ll just shut up
