Re: Tube Amps

Voted yes as I would be very interested. Depending on circumstances at the time of course.

I’d be more interested in the 20-50 watt range. Not sure they are viable on a cost basis though. I figure they’d cost upteen percent of a 100 watt to build.

Re: NBD - Mahalo U-Bass

Thanks for posting this.
My local shop sells Mahalo ukes in various price ranges. I sort of ignored them pretty much as toys.
I’ll have to take a look, could be perfect as we are trying to encourage a couple of people to bring their ukes along. Not enough room for much else most of the time.

Re: Would this be a good idea ?

This was a pop up ad somewhere a few days ago. I’ve had a look, I’ve never heard of this or the guy before; and I’m not really a Country fan. But we have sung a couple and are looking at adding some Colonial type songs into the future. I am a little frustrated at not getting to play now. This may b...

Re: Would this be a good idea ?

Yeah, that website probably screamed ‘shonky’ to me. :) And I have no problem whether any one is any good or not. I’m swimming in the shallow end myself. I gather he must do some different locations and I noticed that he will doing a Blues session later on. Evidently there is a bit of a Country musi...

Surprisingly I prefer the $8000 one over the $800 copy. :)

Re: Interesting article about running a 4ohm amp at 2ohms

Interesting thread on TB about the opposite scenario. A guy made a cable to force his GB Streamliner to run at 16ohms invoking a tube breakup emulation.

Re: Rant Thread !

Did a little bit of wee come out Pete? BTW re older post the company I worked for has made me redundant. Doesn't mean the product isn't any good but I have no interest in supporting them anymore. 6 years invested and I don't care to count how many months of time doing the above and beyond thing and...
