FS Gator Hard Shell Bass Case

Its hard. It's padded. It protects your baby and it has a handle. It's in great condition and it can be yours for the princely sum of $100 or thereabouts... https://image.ibb.co/gc3P0J/20180620_215641.jpg https://image.ibb.co/n1KxLJ/20180620_215659.jpg https://image.ibb.co/gtQtud/20180620_215728.jpg...

Re: Is there a bass overdrive that can go...

ha ha Well I've picked up a One Control Green Hooker. I'll see how that goes. Ive tried the Joyo Ultimate Drive and it worked really well. It's an OCD clone so no surprise there I guess however it was a little agressive. After a tonne of tweaking even the Beta Superdrive is sounding good but not qui...

Re: Heavier Strings for Eb Standard tuning?

Turns out these ones are WAY too heavy for Eb tuning he he. It's like trying to play funk on a train track ;-)
Probably be good for BEAD though..

Heavier Strings for Eb Standard tuning?

So I have inherited some heavier strings along with a new bass. I prefer a standard tuning with regular gauge strings so I was going to give these heavy strings away but then I wondered if they might suit my P Bass which is detuned to Eb Standard... Before I swap/set up and adjust everything - has a...

Blend it with your dry signal with a Boss LS-2 Line Selector. Works an absolute treat. Ultra versatile. Solved all of my OD problems.
Great idea but Im already at capacity on the pedalboard hehe

Why isn't Darkglass on your list?
Ive tried it and listened to a lot of demos etc and to my ears it sounds very mid scooped. The mid scoop works with a lot of styles but I really hate it for my style he he

Is there a bass overdrive that can go...

...from minimal tube-like dirt all the way to balls out death? So far the Solid Gold FX Beta Superdrive II has been one of the best overdrives I've had for that tubey, fat drive sound but I wish it could go just a bit lighter. Maybe if it had a blend it could work... So - looking for recommendations...

Came to my senses...

***WITHDRAWN*** So I have officially given up on PJs. I always end up just using the P pickup. I mean I love the sound of a blended PJ at home and for recording, but the bass in question is purely a live gig machine and I really wanna get back to the simplicity of a Vol and Tone set up.... So. If yo...

STILL larfed even though I knew the punchline from the very beginning.

I still remember the terror when the BL yelled 'bass solo' in my first band

Re: The funny thread

A traveler and his local guide are pushing through the jungle when they suddenly hear drumming like they've never heard before. Traveler: Wow! That drumming is amazing, let's see if we find it! Guide: No! We must go now. When drums stop, very bad! Traveler: But the drumming sounds amazing, I really ...

Re: Compressor Pedals?

I own a Darkglass Super Symmetry & Empress. I like the SS for bass, it imparts a slightly dark flavour cutting some of the higher treble content. I use a Rick 4003 as my main, so with the tone pots all the way open it keeps it all under control. With a regular 6-banger geetar, it gives a nice smoot...
