I picked this up recently but have decided the whole Darkglass thing is not for me. Excellent condition with box and instructions, velcro on the bottom, $450 including postage Australia wide or I can arrange delivery in most of Vic.

If any come up in the blue or cherry burst with a maple board, I may end up having to fight you for it..
Ah! devil. I am not picky at this stage, but I also prefer maple boards.

Re: Compressor Pedals?

I own a Darkglass Super Symmetry & Empress. I like the SS for bass, it imparts a slightly dark flavour cutting some of the higher treble content. I use a Rick 4003 as my main, so with the tone pots all the way open it keeps it all under control. With a regular 6-banger geetar, it gives a nice smoot...

Re: WTB G&L tribute L-2000

I had a very clean USA L2500 in green burst with case. couldn't give it away. Sold it eventually for $800. Very nice bass but I found the string spacing a bit narrow. I would be happy to give one another try though. high quality stuff. I hope I can find a usa one for 800 :( Not sure if this is a go...

Re: WTB G&L tribute L-2000

I regret never trying it on the old 5 string Warwick I had when I only used the B as a thumb rest and went back to four string, but I picked up a cheapy 5 string to do chord pracitice on (which hasn’t actually happened, oh well) and it has E to C. Plays just like I know how but with a slightly broa...

Re: WTB G&L tribute L-2000

I have a USA L2500 that I'd be willing to trade if that's of any interest? Was my first 5 string but I haven't used her in years... Tempting, but I don't know, I really don't need that "extra" string. What do you rest your thumb on then? On pickups I guess, hope it's not something weird ;)

I have a bass wired with a series/parallel switch. Neither setting produces any hum. Gives you the SC-like tone without the heartache.

The bridge is a humbucker! It definitely should not hum.
Sorry about the confusion, I mean when I switch the bridge humbucker to single coil mode in situation 2

Re: Single coil hum in sandberg tm?

If the neck is a double coil (or other magic) noiseless, it won’t cancel out the bridge’s single coil hum because it won’t have the hum itself. Did you expect it would cancel the hum like a classic jazz. B> So no matter a single coil parallel or series with other humbucker(double coil), it won't ca...
